Sen no Kiseki Chapter 1 (Part 5)

Note: Only covers the main scenario.  One thing I really like about Sen is the addition of these train events.  Has a really nice and relaxed feel to it ^^ Celdic GO!

Passing by the Trista Radio Station. A slim woman with glasses comes out of the radio station.

Woman with Glasses: .......Yawn~~~...... uh.  The morning sun is too bright.... should I go buy some coffee?....

The woman heads for the central shopping square without noticing Rean and the others.

Eliot: That person just now, is she with the radio station? She looks tired.
Rean: Yeah, seems like there are late night programs too so maybe she pulled an all-nighter.
Alisa: Ohh, so you listen to the radio. Kind of surprising... (maybe I should try listening sometime).
Laura: Well, enough with the chatter.  We need to head to the train station once we're done with our preparations.

Entering the Trista Train Station. The other Class VII members are already inside.

Emma: Oh, everyone. Good morning.
Gaius: Are you guys also departing?
Fie: ....Morning.
Rean: Yeah, morning.
Alisa: Looks like you guys are already leaving?
Emma: Yes because Team B's Palm City is quite far from here. Even if we depart now, we're expecting to arrive around evening time.
Laura: Hm, it does indeed look like it'll take that long.
Eliot: If I remember correctly, it's the southernmost city of the Empire. Um, but putting that aside...

Eliot stares at Machias and Jusis in the back.

Machias: ...........
Jusis: ............

Alisa: Hey, about those two....
Rean: Are they always like that?
Gaius: Well, yeah.
Emma: Um, the gap between the two is larger than I thought...
Fie: To tell the truth, it's irritating.
Eliot: Y, yeah...
Laura: Sigh, looks like it won't be as easily resolved as ours.
Emma: ! Now that you mention it... Alisa-san and Rean-san were able to reconcile right?
Alisa: I, it's not like our relationship was even that bad.... besides, we've only just met recently so using the word reconcile is over exaggerating.
Gaius: That's great, Rean.
Fie: Good job.
Rean: Haha... thanks.
Alisa: L, like I said, it wasn't even that big of a deal!

Station Announcer:  Imperial City-bound passenger train will be arriving at Platform 2 shortly. All passengers boarding the train, please use the stairway and proceed to the platform.

Jusis: ....Hmph.
Machias: It's time. Let's go.

Jusis and Machias leave before the others.

Rean: ...Looks like you guys will have a difficult time but do your best.
Eliot: Though it'll probably be hard to mediate between those two...
Gaius: Yeah, we'll do what we can.
Laura: Good luck to you guys too. Be careful on your way.
Alisa: Our first special field training... let's both do our best.
Emma: Hehe, yes.
Fie:...Bye.

Emma, Gaius, and Fie leaves.  Their train arrives at the station.

Eliot: Hmm, are they going to be okay?
Rean: The class president and Gaius are with them so shouldn't be a problem. As for Fie... I don't really know.
Alisa: Well, she's a bit special but not one to cause trouble.
Laura: We should also get going.
Rean: You're right. Alright, shall we buy our tickets at the counter then?

Station Staff: Welcome, students of Class VII. I've already been notified. Destination is Celdic, am I right?
Rean: Ah... yeah, that's correct.
Eliot: Ohh, nice preparation work.
Laura: Hm, Instructor Sara made the arrangements?
Alisa: Looks like it... certainly saves us some time.
Station Staff: The Celdic-bound train will be arriving at Platform 1 in a while. There is still some time left, would you like to purchase your tickets now?

Option 1: Purchase tickets and wait for train.
Option 2: I still have other things I need to do.

Station Staff: Four tickets for Celdic-bound train. Well then, have a safe trip.

Rean and the others head for Platform 1.

Station Announcer:  Crossbell direction-bound passenger train will be arriving at Platform 1 shortly. All passengers boarding the train, please wait on the platform.

Inside the train heading to Celdic.

Eliot: Um, it takes around an hour to get to Celdic right?
Laura: Should be around there. A while ago when I came to Trista, I had to transfer trains there.
Rean: I see, if I remember correctly, Laura's hometown <<Legram>> is...
Alisa: You'd have to transfer trains at Celdic and head in the direction of Bareahard right?
Laura: Yeah, from there you ride till the terminal station. To put it bluntly, it's quite the remote area.
Rean: Haha, if you say that then my hometown's about the same... Speaking of Celdic, it's famous as a trades town right?
Eliot: Yeah, it has been known for a long time as a place with something called the "Grand Market".
Alisa: How about we review a bit before the actual field training?

Alisa: Trades town Celdic-- a town thriving in commerce located within the Kreuzen province in the eastern parts of the Empire.  It's also known as the relay station that connects the Imperial City, Bareahard City, and Commerce City Crossbell together.
Laura: It's also famous for being a vast grain-producing region since a long time ago. From agricultural products to Bareahead's specialties, jewels and pelts, as well as various imported goods from other countries.... I hear they sell all sorts of goods at the "Grand Market" that's open all year round.
Rean: That sounds amazing....
Eliot: Yeah, I'm starting to look forward to it.
Alisa: Well, it'd be great if this was just an ordinary trip... But when I think of Instructor Sara, it's hard to relax...
Eliot: Uh... don't say that.
Rean: "Special Field Training" huh... what are they going to have us do? Since we're a military school, I can imagine difficult assignments.
Laura: Well, there's no point in sending us all the way out here if that isn't the case. Let's just look forward to it.
Eliot: Uh, okay...
Rean: Anyway, we should drop by the inn after we arrive. We should be receiving an envelope there with our field training instructions.
Alisa: Yeah, you're right. But how should I put this, including what happened at the station earlier, doesn't it feel like preparations are too perfect...
Woman's Voice: --That just shows how much the academy is expecting of you all.
Everyone: !!

Eliot: Eh...
Rean: I, instructor Sara...?
Laura: ... I was just thinking how come I haven't seen Instructor since this morning...
Instructor Sara: Class VII Team A, looks like you're all here. And since you two made up, I guess it's a good start?
Alisa: P, please don't talk as if you were watching!
Eliot: Ahaha....
Rean: Um, why is Instructor here? Didn't you say that we would be heading to the field training location by ourselves?
Instructor Sara: Well, I thought that I should at least give supplementary explanations in the beginning. I'll accompany you guys until you check-in to the inn.
Alisa: T, that's great but....
Eliot: But between the two teams, I feel like Team B is more worrisome.
Laura: Wouldn't it be better to accompany them?
Instructor Sara: Ehh~~ but no matter how I think about it, that side is too much trouble~~  Although I do plan on giving them a helping hand if the relationship between those two becomes too dangerous ❤
Alisa: (Looks like she made the teams knowing full well their dangerous relationship...)
Rean: (Completely a premeditated crime...)

Sara sits down on a seat across from them.

Instructor Sara: Anyway, don't mind me. Please continue with whatever you guys were talking about. I pulled an all-nighter so sorry, but let me sleep for a bit.
Rean: Eh--
Instructor Sara: .................. zzz.....zzz...
Eliot: S, she's already fast asleep!?
Laura: Not an ordinary person...
Alisa: She seriously doesn't look like a military academy instructor...
Rean: Well anyway, let's not mind the Instructor for now... (....We'll need to wake her up once we arrive.)

Talking to Alisa.

Alisa: Celdic's Grand Market huh... I didn't expect to visit it in this way. Even though I have knowledge of it, this is the first time I'll be actually seeing it.
Rean: Ohh, is that right? Although we have the <<Special Field Training>>, I guess it won't hurt to be excited about going. Alisa, do you have your eyes set on certain items?
Alisa: Let's see, I do want to check out the jewels and pelts from Bareahard. I hear they carry authentic goods made from the Artisan's Street there.
Rean: Well, those are most likely too expensive for us. But if we get some spare time during our field training, let's all go take a look around.
Alisa: Hehe, then it's decided.

Talking to Eliot.

Eliot: By the way, I recently got a hold of something like this.

Eliot takes out "Blade".

Rean: Oh that's... so you have that too? I just received it a few days ago from the pawnshop as well.
Eliot: Ohh then this is just perfect. We have some time anyway, how about all of us give it a try?
Rean: Do you know the rules of the game?
Eliot: Yeah, it's not that hard so I think Alisa and Laura can play too.
Alisa: Ohh... looks like a great way to kill time.
Laura: Yeah, sounds surprisingly fun.
Rean: Well then, let's all try playing it.

Now you can play the card game <<Blade>> with your classmates.

The rules of <<Blade>> in brief:
1) The person with the highest points by the end wins.
2) Mirror Card swaps your current points with your opponent's.
3) Lightning Sword Card kills the opponent's last card.
4) Wand Card revives the card that your opponent killed (must be used directly after).
5) If you and the opponent's points end up in a draw at any point in the game, the game resets.

Talking to Laura.

Laura: But thinking about it, "Special Field Training" huh.... even now I still can't guess what we will be doing.
Rean: You're right... and we still don't quite understand why they deliberately separate us into two teams and send us to totally different locations. On top of that, putting Machias and Jusis in the same team is...
Laura: Extremely illogical. Looks like the goal is not as simple as just completing the thing they call "field training". I feel like there are various ulterior motives involved.
Rean: Yeah, I feel that way too.... Not just about that, there are so many questions I want to ask. But....

Laura looks at Instructor Sara.

Instructor Sara: ..zzz.....zzz....
Laura: *sweat*
Rean: Since this is how it is...
Laura: It's possible we're just being deceived. My, what a crafty person.
Rean: Anyway, looks like we'll have to find out the meaning behind the "special field training" by ourselves.

There is the option to save your game at this time as well. When you want to advance the story, simply select the last option on the list.

Rean: Ah...
Eliot: Wow...!
Alisa: It's beautiful...
Laura: Yeah, it really is pretty. Looks like the rye seeds sowed in the fall are beginning to ripen.
Eliot: I always thought rye only ripen in the fall...
Rean: Most likely because this region has a warm climate and the lands are fertile... But this scenery is like a painting.

Train Announcer: This train is heading in the direction of Crossbell City.  Thank you very much for using the "Transcontinental Railroad" today.  -- Next stop is Celdic, Celdic.  Passengers heading in the direction of Bareahard, please transfer trains at this next station.

Alisa: Looks like we're about to arrive.
Rean: Anyway, we should wake Instructor Sara up first...

The train arrives at Celdic.  Rean and the others get off the train.
